Player screen distorted when it boots up for the first time

If the screen is incomplete or doesn’t show the complete signage the first time it boots but works after a reboot. Check if the TV/LCD Screen is already turned on when the system boots up. Chances are the signage is not displaying properly because screen resolution is not determined by windows because the TV/LCD Screen was turned off.

You could set the SignagePlayer to reboot twice in the morning so that the second time it boots the system will already be able to determine the screen resolution of the TV/LCD Screen.
